Using Your Hot Water Bottle
Q: How hot should my hot water bottle be?
A: The hot water bottle should feel "nice". It should be hot, but it should never burn. The heat at which a person will feel comfortable using their hot water bottle will depend on their individual sensitivity to heat.
Q: Why can't I fill my hot water bottle straight from the tap?
A: Filling your hot water bottle straight from the tap or other domestic hot water system can prematurely degrade your hot water bottle. The reason for this is that all the minerals and impurities that are removed from the water through boiling, will build up on the inside of the the hot water bottle.
Q: Why shouldn't I use boiling water when filling my bottle?
A: Using water that is still boiling or coming off the boil can be dangerous. Even though the kettle may have flicked off, the water will continue to boil for short period after. If you try to fill your hot water bottle immediately the water is likely to splash back and cause scalding.
Q: What does the guarantee on my hot water bottle cover?
A: Any guarantee that comes with your hot water bottle is against manufacturing faults only. We cannot take liability for the degradation of any hot water bottle cause through misuse or incorrect storage.
Q: I store my hot water bottle in the airing cupboard. Is this ok?
A: Never store your hot water bottle in the airing cupboard as the fluctuation in heat from any boiler or water tank will adversely affect the bottle. Should should also not store your hot water bottle on or near a radiator or under the sink where chemicals can degrade the quality of the bottle, or where it will be exposed to sunlight.
Q: Do I have to use a cover with my rubber hot water bottle?
A: It is advised that you do not use any rubber bottle without a cover. Direct contact of a rubber bottle on skin can cause burns. Elderly people, and those with sensitive skin or reduced feeling should be especially careful.
Q: Can I wash my cover?
A: Yes you can hand wash your covers in warm water using a mild detergent. All 3D Novelty Hot water bottles should be sponged clean, again using warm water and a mild detergent.
Q: When should I replace my hot water bottle?
A: It is advised that you replace your hot water bottle every 2 years to ensure that you are always using a bottle which is in good shape, safe for use, and in line with current British Standards for hot water bottles. Rubber naturally deteriorates overtime and this natural process can be affected by how it is stored and used.
Q: When will I get my order?
A: Orders are despatched within 1-3 working days, subject to availability. UK orders, once despatched will be recieved within 1-2 working days. Delivery times for orders to the rest of the world can take between 5 and 10 working days.
Q: Can I place my order over the phone?
A: Yes. We are able to take card payment over the phone. If you wish to place your order over the telephone please call +44 (0) 1509 239307 between 10am and 4pm.
Q: Can I change my order?
A: Yes. Please email us as soon as you want to change your order email@example.com. Unfortunately, if we have already posted the item to you we will need you to return the item before we can change your order. We will also have to charge additional posting fees.
Q: Where do you ship to?
A: We ship to the UK and the rest of the world. To date we have shipped our products to Europe, the USA, Australia, Jordan and the UAE.

Q: How will my products arrive?
A: Your products will be wrapped in tissue paper and posted out in a plain white padded envelope or cardboard shipping box, which ever is the most appropriate. The parcel will have your address, and our returns address in the event that delivery cannot be made. We understand that you may be purchasing items as a gift and therefore we will not use our logo on the parcel.
Q: Can I have a discount on packing and shipping costs?
A: Unfortunately, packing and shipping are direct costs which we are unable to discount.
Q: Can I add a gift message to my order?
A: Yes you can. Please leave instructions on the payment page or email us directly firstname.lastname@example.org. Please quote your name and order number.
Q: How can I cancel my order?
A: If you change your mind and would like to cancel your order, you may do so at any time without reason, by returning the goods and/or giving us notice within 7 working days of delivery. Please note that it is your responsibility to take care of the products and ensure they are returned to us safely & in a saleable condition.
Q: When will I get my refund?
A: We will refund the cost of the product to you upon receipt of the returned items or within 15 days of a valid cancellation.
